Discontinued
KanexPro no longer makes the SP-1X2SL18G. The support information below still applies to units in service.
Replacement: SP-HDMI1X2-18G — 4K60 1×2 HDMI Splitter with Auto Downscaling & EDID Control
Support notes
- Firmware updates and technical support continue for SP-1X2SL18G units in service.
- The SP-1X2SL18G downscales 4K to 1080p per output, so a 4K display and a 1080p display can run from it at the same time.
- SP-1X2SL18G EDID: front-panel DIP switches 1-3 select one of 8 EDID settings (000 = EDID from the first detected display, output 1 first; 001 = output 2 first; the rest are fixed 1080p and 4K presets). Switch 4 sets the HDCP mode: OFF (default) = Passive, which follows the display's HDCP version; ON
- Differences in the replacement SP-HDMI1X2-18G: it also downscales 4K to 1080p per output, but it has 2 EDID presets (STD = 1080p, TV = copy OUT1) instead of the SP-1X2SL18G's 8. An HDCP Active/Passive switch is not specified for the SP-HDMI1X2-18G.
- Replacement power adapter for the SP-1X2SL18G: the KanexPro EXT-PSU3 (DC 5V, 1A, with interchangeable international plugs). The SP-1X2SL18G needs DC 5V, 1A. Buy the EXT-PSU3 on the KanexPro online store: https://store.kanexpro.com/products/5v-1a-spare-power-supply-with-international-plugs; KanexPro
