Questions
- What receiver does this pair with?
- The EXT-HDBT70MRX is the matching KanexPro receiver. It also works with any compatible HDBaseT receiver that supports the same HDBaseT standard.
- Does this support 4K/60?
- No. Maximum is 4K×2K@30Hz at up to 130ft / 40m. For 4K/60 support see EXT-4KHD150M2.
- Can this TX power the RX?
- Yes. Connect the 24V/1.25A adapter to this TX unit — PoH will supply power to the paired RX over the Cat cable.
- Is RS-232 control bidirectional?
- Yes. RS-232 commands pass in both directions over the HDBaseT link, allowing control of sources from the display end and displays from the source end.
- What cable termination is required?
- T568B straight-through Cat5e or Cat6a on both ends, shielded preferred. Do not use patch cables longer than 5m at either end.
- LINK LED is off — no connection?
- Verify the Cat cable is connected to HDBT OUT on this TX and HDBT IN on the paired RX. Confirm cable is straight-through T568B and undamaged.
- Can I use this in a matrix switcher?
- Yes. Connect HDBT OUT to a compatible HDBaseT matrix input. Verify the matrix supports the same HDBaseT standard.
