Ask A Question:

Q: Hello, can the optical output be permanently set to only output in LPCM 2CH (to go to a normal stereo DAC) even if the HDMI input is supplying multi-channel audio? In other words exactly what it would output on the 2 analog RCA outputs but in digital form. Something I'd like to see in the documentation is a table that lists all possible HDMI input audio formats and maps them to the optical output format that would be produced, all per each setting of the 3 position switch. Thank you
A: Hello Ben, Yes the HAECOAX3 can be set to LPCM 2CH output on the optical output. Simply set the switch to the left of the HDMI input to 2CH mode.
